Your tendency to fence-sit is not one of your more attractive qualities. I really wish you'd pick a position and stick with it once in a while.

Teleportation sounds fun, although I'm yet to experience it myself.

Comics don't tickle me in any way, I'd be struggling should this topic win.

Vocabulary, FWB and Fetishes are the topics I'm intimately familiar with: experienced them, blogged about them and had fun with them to various degrees.

So, should I take "a road less traveled" or stick with familiar - that is the question I need to answer before I vote. And, I also need to get caffeinated before casting a vote.

I'm always in favor of choosing a challenging topic... it's a wonderful way to stretch one's intellectual wings (to say nothing of hyperextending a metaphor or two).

But...

I'm also quite familiar with Saturday night "What the fuck am I going to write about" panics generated as the result of obscure topics.

In short... this response offers no guidance whatsoever.

As seen on "House of Cards," any good topic up for vote could use a whip...

Yes, I know your motto - challenging topics are more fun to explore. Is there any reference to swinging in comics, I wonder.... Even if there's none, I'm sure you could 'swing' it. *smiling smugly into my coffee cup*

Something crazy just came to mind and I'm leaning toward Fetishes now.

*Sigh* Clearly I'm becoming predictable in my old age...

Something crazy, hm? That's the best electioneering for Fetishes I've heard so far!

Some great topics. I could have gone with pretty much any of them but chose FWB this time.
Cool! I'd love to hear why: Might sway some undecided voters to your caucus...

Decision made - voted for Fetishes.
Even if Fetishes won't win, I'm still going to write about them. After this symposium, of course.

But what will you do when Fetishes eventually does win, if it doesn't this time?

Ah, right -- fetishes are like Jell-O: There's always room for more.

Exactly! There's always something else to write on the same topic.

There're at least 3 or 4 posts about FWB in my blog, 2 or 3 posts that talk directly or indirectly about fetishes, 1 post that is all about vocabulary and a few more that just graze it.
Yes, sometimes I'm at a loss - what else could be said, isn't this subject old and tired already... but here's always something else to be said. Maybe not as interesting as was the original post, maybe not as engaging.... Good topic is never a dry well anyway.

Vocabulary is an excellent choice. I leave it to you as to whether I would say that about any decision you made, though... I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

It's the choice of a new generation!

And the old generation.

And the generation which is current, but not cutting edge.

Really ! ? ! ? You're going with vocabulary and the best you got is "You betcha!".
If it was geography would you write on your view of Russia from here?

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Oh, she's a regular walking talking dictionary. No context, coherence or syntax, but she's just a bundle or words. She loves words like she loves reading news magazines..you know...all of them.

Allow me to “adjust” some of the vocabulary of your statement.

She’s a regular walking talking disaster zone. No intelligence, coherence or any kind of clue, she's just a bundle of nonsense. She loves words (the few she actually understands) like she loves reading bathroom walls.
