 We have these until 1966 when my family finally bought a real front loader, but was only used for big items like towels and sheet, still hand washed the rest until late seventies. Believe or not my Mom still uses the same wash machine!

 I have actually used one as a kid visiting relatives in WV and one of my great uncles showed me how he used to play it before they got a radio.
Smart as a rock, strong as a marshmallow, and hung like a flea. Now, don't that make me sexy?
