In my younger days I would go to the auto wreckers all the time to keep my cars running.

This is not meant to offend any one in any way.

Sure do, in fact car I had before this one
had the expensive type wheels, kept having flat
on that wheel, found the frame was cracked;
and also at one point the motor went out on
the driver's side seat that moves it back and forth,
know of a salvage yard about an hour West of here,
and he got both of them for almost nothing and
guaranteed them for a time.

Most yards sell stuff 'as is'

Myself and my brother-in-law used to get old run down bangers... and swap the parts to cars in need on bits and pieces. On one occasion the donor car had multiple different coloured panels.

I always went to the breakers (wreckers) for most parts cause it was all I could afford, I used to do the repairs myself.

I do have a project which has been in limbo for a few years - but it started the other day after not running for over a year. Am waiting til it''s classified as a classic before I put it on the road - cheaper tax and insurance makes it worth the effort - but it needs a new exhaust manifold.

I have a new teeshirt that I'm proud to wear!
