I like the one down the hall in my own home. I prefer it to any and all others. Just the imagination boggles at some of the inventions....!

Just wanted to leave you a note to say hi! Hope your having an awesome weekend! Hope your weekend is awesome too - exactly as you like it!

Oh I love the idea of a swoony room... lol... but not sure what it should contain or be beside... so long as it is comfortable ...lol... and sound proof!!! It is a dilemma what to call "the thing" - it's also interesting that i think the word "toilet" is quite acceptable here and no one would think it impolite to to ask "Where are the toilets, please?" either when out or visiting someones house.

the throne... of course and haa... so I'm not the only one wondering about the restroom! There have been times when I haven't found the toilets, due to that sign But it is the blank stare when you use the wrong word and you're obviously bursting...lol!

Here we either go to the bathroom, use the john or go to the head. It's kinda funny how every country has it's own phrase for toilet. Although I was quite confused as a kid visiting Germany. I couldn't figure out what the hell WC stood for

Yeah, it happened in the Irish Sea, nearer Wales so the shock waves reach both places... nothing serious, but it always amazes me to hear how people reported their houses shaking and everyone else slept through it... There is nothing wrong with calling the the rest rooms - except the last thing I would want to do there is rest... lol... I'll say nothing about the "bog"... Now you have me thinking of other names and I can hear Kenneth Williams from the "Carry On.." series calling the thing the Khazi... lol... with that word stuck in my head what kind of day awaits me!!!

They tried one like that in Dublin.... but it was on a timer and if you were not finished in time the doors opened anyway, exposing you the the pedestrians passing down Dublin's main street...lol... not to mention what happened if you did not get out in time... completely sanitised...lol... and washed and dried! But I like the idea of actually planning that and building in the ass hair styling... "short back and sides" would have a whole new meaning...lol!
| ||||||||

Would make bbq and party time more interesting.... "bring your own beer and loo" could be on the invitation... and no more queuing... but I still wonder who will deliver the daily paper... even handy in this house when the girls are getting ready for a night out... if you have not booked a bathroom slot you could end up visiting the neighbours...lol!

I like the pink one as it seems to have more comfort. You always have interesting pics with some history in them.. Ty for sharing. The world we live in is full of little things of interest, history and the origin of stuff can be amazing, crude or simple... we are made in part of where we came from... always worth exploring given time.

I love the extra comfort one! That is so cute!

Oh now you have rocked my memory, the "lav" is a term I have not heard lately... for some strange reason we have so many names for the same thing... amazing! You raised another mystery of the English use of the English language though why is a private fee paying school called "Public"....!!! The first house I had had an outside toilet and it was in the middle of Dublin, 2 minutes walk from O'Connell Street... well, til I got a bathroom fitted!!!! Suppose I was lucky it had a toilet at all, and not just a hole in the ground or bucket...lol! and I hasten to add, I suppose I am glad I did not live in Roman times...!

Yes, I can see that from a ladies point of view it would be an interesting experience... wonder if it is anatomically correct!

Toilet humour, my favourite! I need to get one of those shitters in a brief case! And the 'ours' bog is perfect for new couples who want to spend every waking moment together. Actually, I can spend ages in the loo, so the pink fluffy seat might be a comfortable option for me. And maybe something with a pillow, duvet, teasmade and television would be good? The earthquake was a biggie apparently, and to think we're still talking of underground nuclear waste repositories on the west coast! In days of old... when I way younger... my father recorded me (audio only I might add) ... I used to take my toy car collection to the loo, sit the wrong way round and play on the cistern top.."eee rrr, eee rrr, no parking in the parking lot" can be heard quite clearly before I cough and my mother shouts "come in outta that you'll catch your death of cold!" - but I like the idea of a television... one could change the whole experience. As to nuclear waste disposal... that is becoming a major issue.. mankind will need a proper solution... mine would be to blast it into space (if we could find a safe way to do it) and target it towards the sun for ultimate destruction. Every other solution has it's risks.. although I suppose you could drill down to the magma below the surface and drop it in... some mad scientist will suggest that and create a volcano where there was none!

LOL....if only you could read my mind!!!! Too much wood on the throne to be polished....the hands free is just too scary.....the extra comfort.....the cover needs to be washed too often. I'll take the his and hers......does the man come with it too??? I can see the advantage of the couples loo... not sure if you would be allowed to keep the plumber though! ... and have just thought of a toilet name that could not be used in these circumstances.."Privy"... lol!

An Earthquake, Really? I'll check the news. I do like the Throne one! On the Throne... I thought you might like the classic design... lol.. but wonder what happens when you pull the chair!!!
