A shy polyamorus woman and a shy man walk into a cafe ...

Well it has been an interesting weekend. As some of you know I had a little turmoil in my life this past week. So I set out on the weekend to relieve my stress and relax a bit. Unfortunately sex was not on the menu. But what's new.

So Saturday night I went to meet a friend for a cuddle date. It was nice, like the first. It's nice to have someone to talk to that is willing to cuddle up. And before anyone asks, no I don't imagine it will ever go beyond that. But that's fine.

Sunday's plan needed to be amended a bit. The original idea was that I would go to a rough body play practice, followed by a munch. Well the rough body play was canceled a couple days before. So the woman I was negotiating a match with asked if I wanted to go get coffee or something instead.

We're both shy and at times a little awkward. So two shy people getting together not really knowing each other all that well, getting together for social time. When I think of that it isn't pretty. The awkward silence, shy avoidance of eye contact, looking for an escape after 20 minutes. Like I said not pretty.

We met up at noon, then at 6 we finally check the clock and realize how long we had been there. Both of us being shy really worked to our advantage I think. Lots of laughing, good conversation about everything from TV shows to kink. Yes there was awkward silence but since we're both shy that helped, and turned it into a big of a joke between us.

In light of the disappointment of the previous week this was an awesome surprise. I was worried that my shyness would come out in full force but the time flew by and I had a great time. More over she told me she did as well (given I've been told that before). I'm not sure where if anywhere this might go. But I think even if nothing else. I think it's safe to say I made a new friend today. Only the future will tell if it is more then that or not.

 I was delighted by your text & more so to read a more fleshed out account here. And, hey, no matter what happens from this point on, it never hurts to have more friends.
