Erotica


Well this is a first. Themed posts for HJT, basically we are supposed to come up with a character and write it like an erotic story if I'm understanding the idea right. As cool as that is it raises a question. What makes a good erotic story?

So I came up with a character to play and posted it. But coming up with characters isn't my strong point. So we'll see how it goes.

I've made a couple attempts to write erotica in the past one of which I posted here a few months ago. If you want to check it out they are Wrestling with a fantasy story part 1 and part 2 But I have to warn you if you do check them out, they are long. But feel free to read the story and let me know what you think.

I like a story with well defined characters and story. Back story is also a nice touch. This all makes the characters more human, more real. And that is part of what get's me into the story and in turn the erotic part.

Do you read or write erotic stories or poems? What makes a story good in your opinion? What inspires you when/if you do write? And just for fun, if you could be a character in an erotic story what would your character be like? Tell me about them, the more detail the better, and remember this is supposed to be fun so have some fun with it.

 I don't write erotic stories, but have been toying with the idea more & more of late. I have written a few erotic poems but there was no characterization involved, more just a blast of emotions.

I do write though. I've written a couple of novels & a few screenplays. For me a good story involves interesting characters with flaws, good believable dialogue & that indefinable something that hooks me.

Much like most of my stories I think my main character would be close to my own personality. But I tweak her depending on what I need for the story. By the time I am done I usually end up with someone that isn't all that close to being me, but definitely someone I would want to be friends with.

Flaws make for good characters in any medium. It makes them more believable.

I think if I had to write myself a character they would be close to my own personality as well. Maybe a tweak here or there.

 yes I try to write erotica and prose.
what makes a good story for me is one that is honest open and has a nice flow and rhythm to it.

 I like poems... my ex lover was an amazing erotic writer. He could paint a picture with his words as if he was speaking only to me...... writing is passion of the heart~
Creativity is a drug I cannot live without.
