Dodging Massive Tornadoes

I live in Kansas but even Dorothy and Toto would be alarmed by the massive tornado outbreak that has repeatedly besieged our area. Last night an E F-4 tornado tore apart 20 homes approximately 25 miles northeast of my city. More storms are expected. I have been lucky whereas others have not. Please keep our state in your thoughts.

XOXO,
Myelin

You bet, Myelin. I am the next town over from Washington, Illinois that had a bad one a number of years ago. I WILL keep the state in my thoughts this summer. Mind if I keep YOUR safety in my thoughts too? Ex-firefighter/paramedic...concern for others come naturally.

Yeah, living in a state known for EF-5s....I definitely know the feeling of dread that's a huge part of this time of year. Here's hoping we all stay safe.

Such a huge tornado . . . that's awful! Of course I will keep Kansas in my thoughts and I will follow any news coming out of this terrible outbreak.

Please stay safe.

That is a fact about Kansas that I don't miss!!! I spent my fair share of time hiding in cellars, under highway bridges and racing down the road to get away from Twisters. There were some cool ones (if you can call them cool), but I can do with out them for a while!!!

It's been a good year to chase. I've seen two this year and pulled off one because it was rain-wrapped.

Those things are scary. We see them here, but infrequently.
