Sending E-Mails

Either I am screwing up the best thing since sliced bread, or I am spreading the news about an unofficial policy.

Have you ever noticed how women (and usually couples) can view profiles and send e-mails, but single guys can't? Guess what? It's not that complicated why. On some rare occasions, I have been able to send e-mail and view profiles? Now how does a *Gasp* single male accomplish? It turns out that all one needs is to be viewed by enough people.

What is enough? I have no clue

I know of one female on here who claimed she had 230,000 views in about 9 months (so a bit over 25,000 a month) as a free member. That number may not impress you but it does me as I am closing in on 6,000 profile views after 3 and 1/2 years. Is that good or bad? I honestly have no clue since that seems to be yet another thing that guys don't really talk about (profile view envy?).

So anyways, what I *suspect* is that if enough people view a profile over a period of time (unknown), then the person being viewed can see up X profiles in a day and send a limited number of e-mail messages. Please be aware that this is just a theory I have and the numbers that I suspect are just guesses.

But I think that is an added incentive to people to write better profiles, choose pictures that engage (rather than offend) viewers and to behave like a civilized human being in the chat rooms and when IM-ing someone.

Then again I could just be winning the lottery and the times I have been able to view profiles and send e-mail messages have just been the result of mad and capricious Powers That Be when they are bored.

Enticing photos do help! And yours is, I really like the goatee one

I have to agree with AudioFilly......heaven forbid you look at a guys photo whether be by accident or not....99% of the time you get the "Caught you looking at my profile...........". So personally I tend to not look for that reason alone.

As far as the rules of how many times one needs to be viewed may always be a mystery.......that's why we pay...we hate restrictions.

A quirky little tick that I've been noticing lately . . . I've gotten several emails from gentlemen saying something like, "Caught you looking at my profile. Let's (fill in the blank)"

Wouldn't be so odd except I know I didn't view their profile. One of them I did remember rolling over their picture in a search so it brought up the preview box but I didn't actually click in. Now it has me wondering if the preview box counts as a view?
