Bengals gave Steelers that game! 18-16
Bengals gave Steelers that game! 18-16 Steelers were winning most of the game, even into the 2 min warning we were winning. Bengals gets a touchdown to make it 16-15 less than 2 min. I thought we were done, especially once Bengals got an interception. But Ben, injured, came back out and got us all the way back down the field into field goal range where we got a field goal to win 18-16. But of course if it weren't for #55 of the Bengals and his outrageous behavior and getting penalties, plus our Antonio Brown getting hit badly which was unfortunate (understatement), we may not have got into field goal range. We still might have but both those penalties clinched it. It sucks it came at the hit of Antonio Brown but at least it wasn't for nothing. We won! Especially sweet since the Bengals fans were so damn rude too. Throwing trash at Ben when he was carted off the field injured. Like really people? Grow up. Thank you mr. Burfitt. Please place this picture in your scrapbook. Sincerely Steeler Nation (found this on fb) and this was an amazing touchdown we got in the 3rd quarter. I sent an Angel to watch over you last night, it returned in a hurry. I asked why, it said "Angels can't watch porn." Thanks for fucking traumatizing my fucking Angel! Don't bother trying to figure me out. Not even the little voices in my head understand me. It's pointless! |

Sorry, it was a shoulder pad- to-shoulder pad hit. Bad refs kill the Bengals again... And HTH does Shazier's helmet-to-helmet hit on Bernard NOT get flagged? If the refs call rule 8 correctly, Steelers get flagged 15 for targeting, Shazier gets ejected, Bengals keep the ball, and all the crap from the last minute becomes irrelevant. And how many times did the Steeler left tackle #78 get away with offensive holding outside the center of the defender's jersey? meanwhile, they flag his counterpart on the Bengals, Whitworth, for holding and false starts more than anyone else in the league... Totally bogus! Seems like there's one standard for the Steelers and the BIG teams like the Patriots, and another for all the rest. A sad day for Goodell's pee-poor excuse for a professional sports league. IMHO, of course.

congratulations to the Steelers, but there was thuggery and muggery by both teams.... but the Bengals outdid themselves with it in the final minutes. Truly an ugly game to watch for fans that weren't particularly rooting for either team....

itzchic824 replies on 1/10/2016 12:04 am: There's a reason Bengals haven't won a playoff game since the 90's. Unsportmansman-like conduct this time. ------------ Thanks to corrupt, inept, incompetent officiating. Twice Saturday, the Bengals defenders delivered perfectly legal shoulder pad-to-shoulder pad hits, just as the league says they should be. And the dumb clucks in pinstripes conveniently for you forgot that. Just as they "overlooked" the blatant helmet-to-helmet hit by Shazier on Bernard. And let us not forget the "brush up" bonus call against Adam Jones. Question now is how much Belicheat paid them to give you the game, so the Patriots would host KC instead of Cincy? Rest assured, Ryan Shazier shall be heftily fined, and given at least a one-game suspension by the league. And over the 47 years of the rivalry, the Steelers have benefitted far more from bad/no calls than the Bengals. Which is why the best rated quarterback of the 1970s, Pennsylvania native (and future Steeler offense coach) Kenny Anderson, 1981-82 AFC Champion for the Bengals, is not yet in the Pro Football HoF.

Yeah... it was painful to watch the utter collapse. Thoughts from the Garden...
