Update on the "seizure" from Oct and my permit

Been meaning to write about this. Went to a second neurologist, short of it is - he pretty much disagreed with everything the first one said and put in my file that he is questioning her whole diagnosis. Since he's been in practice pretty much as long as she's been alive, I'm going with him on this one. This is my life we're talking about and she just doesn't have enough experience.

The whole overdoing it with work and exercise and not getting enough sleep, she said not the cause, he said yes it could be.

She said it was definitely a seizure, he said he is pretty sure (not 100% but mainly leaning towards) that I didn't have one.

She said after 2 years on the medicine she wanted me on I'd have to go have epilepsy testing 3-4 days in the hospital. So I waited all my appointment just to see if he'd bring it up. When he didn't, I asked him. He looked at me and said why would I need to? I definitely don't have epilepsy. He also told me to not take the medicine she prescribed. He did put me on something else, but he said what she put me on really wouldn't have helped me and he wasn't sure why she chose that. What he put me on is low but if the slight chance I did have a seizure it will stop me from having another one. He wants me on it for a year. This one is supposed to cause weight loss. I asked not weight gain? Cause I can't do that and he assured me no. I've only been on it a few weeks so I haven't seen any weight loss yet.

Beyond that, he had me get another EEG since the first one had been in November and he had me wear a 24 hour holter monitor to make sure my heart wasn't skipping beats. Both came back fine. Which also reminds me, how she said that normal tests were actually worse than something showing up. He said normal tests, especially a normal MRI is extremely good.

So since my tests came out fine he is gonna fill out the papers to get my permit back. Now just gotta jump through the DMV's hoops to get it back. Ugh. But hey at least that's all good news.

I have to get blood work done in July to make sure everything is ok on the medicine. I also see him again late July. After that I won't need to see him for 6 months. But yeah, totally different and better diagnosis.

I sent an Angel to watch over you last night, it returned in a hurry. I asked why, it said "Angels can't watch porn." Thanks for fucking traumatizing my fucking Angel!

Don't bother trying to figure me out. Not even the little voices in my head understand me. It's pointless!

Awesome update on that! Makes me wonder what that first Dr was thinking or actually knew though and how many people had also been in your situation with her and just don't know.
