Station Music is becoming only a Business!!

I guess i only write blogs when something really irrates me or something-- I guess i should get back into Journalism again.

I find out my favorite radio station here in Seattle-- and it was 60's and 70's rock. Well, now its stupid TALK Radio.. Oh my god, like we really need more Idiotic Talk on the radio-- and this is FM.

Lets all petition to keep TALK radio on AM., and leave FM to good quality music for us hard working American class citizens.

So there goes the Beatles, Beach Boys, Tommy James, Elton John, and a lots more just so we can listen to someone talk about POLITICS, or what is wrong with our Local Government.

I have come to the conclusion that i am getting a radio satellite thingy in my car to listen to none stop music whenever i want. Or just listen to my CD's all the time.

If you want to know the name of my ex- favorite radio station it was 97.3 here in Seattle. So if you are ever in Seattle-- Please!! boycott that station for me.

As for music at home-- it is now Online Radio for me now. Screw those Corporate Idiots who buy stations and take away our memories.

Kisses Lisa xoxo

I hope you get pissed too

Your right on point as always, what's the world coming to, some choice in free air radio, you either listen to talk radio, or music you can't understand what thy're saying. But when you do hear a song that you can understand the lyrics, you wish you couldn't. We have a few stations left around here that play oldies once in a while, but most only deveote to it late at night.

Hi!!

On my way thru Portland last year i heard K-hits 106.7,,

Anyway, i listen to them online, and they same page you can get stations from everywhere- My favorite is still K-Earth 101 out of LA. Being from So. Calif, stations know how to play good music down there. It is like still lying on the beach and hearing music

As for 102.5 here in Seattle, i like their music at times, i do like that they play Led Zepplin-- why more stations dont play Led Zepplin is beyond me-- arent they from the 70's???

kissssses to you all Lisa xoxo

I agree totally, the new station appears, plays great music with no commercials, gets popular and the next thing you know your spending more time listening to two idiots talk about nothing instead of playing music! Arghh what a waste of FM stereo!!

Hi Lisa,
I remember that changeover and I hated it too! Only I hated it because I listened to the talk radio on AM in my old cars/trucks and then they turned it into an ESPN channel! Now I listen to the talk on 97.3 and classic rock on 102.5 but you still can't beat a record player for any music in my humble opinion!
Anyway, I like your blog (please write more!) and the girls look great!!!!

David

I was totally disgusted with radio by 1996 when I quit listening to it. NPR, CD's replaced what I grew up on. It is true that Sirius/XM is worth having and Pandora is terrific too. But you are right...radio sucks.
