Someone stood you up!?

So i like to sit and watch how people interact on here and the topic of being STOOD UP came up. And almost all the women said that if a guy did not show up for any reasons, she would block him and not give him another chance.

Whats up with that? Do you know what us men have to do? We have to set the mood,
wash the car,
wash our ass,
condom check,
clean the house (in case you come over later)

You've seen the end of Ferris Bueller.. that's pretty much what us dudes go through. But to totally NOT give us a second chance? That's pretty harsh. Especially since women want a man to be PATIENT, and UNDERSTANDING. And not just expect a Blowjob, or a fuck in the backseat at the movie theater parking lot.

I was once stood up by a woman THREE times in 1 weekend!!!
Friday night
Saturday night
Sunday afternoon

It took me until Monday to figure out she was just fulla shit and had no desire to meet me for real. But I gave her those chances because I thought "SHIT HAPPENS" This was back in my naive days..lol
I got small payback when she called me that Monday, I thoroughly cussed her out on the phone; using every derogatory word i could think of in the process.

Maybe instead of cutting a dude's legs out from under him; how bout field a situation on a person to person basis?! ALL us guys aren't out to fuck you over. Sometimes shit happens. And the fear of disappointing you is too much to bear for some men.

Ok...All this being said, with the use of cell phones firmly ensconced in our world, there is no reason a person should be "stood up". Now maybe I am being too literal, but a simple call or text may help prevent the anger and animosity that is generated when the person fails to show. Also, in my opinion, it is a matter of simple respect. If you cannot make a date, do me the simple courtesy of informing me.

I agree that a no second chance rule is harsh. But, women get a lot more opportunities to get laid, so, by and large, they get to make the rules.
No disrespect intended, but... it's men who think like that who let women get away with thinking they can make the rules *and* expect men to follow them!

I agree with both you and HSM. People do deserve second, sometimes third chances... but they gotta earn 'em!

As far as prep goes... just speaking for myself, I can wash my car, myself, and check for condoms all within half an hour *at the most.* And I admit, I haven't brought a woman over to my place in over ten years now, but who doesn't keep their place right "just in case?" I would if I *had* my own place... but that's just me.

Do you know what us women have to do?

shower
shave our legs
shave/trim our pussy
do our hair
do our makeup
find something to fabulous to wear (first impressions count)
clean our house (in case you come back to our place)
make sure we have cab fare (in case you're a complete jerk)

I'm a busy person and my free time is very important to me. If you ask me to be available for you on a Friday night, and then you don't show up, I'm going to be pissed. So pissed that if I gave you a second chance (which I've done), I would be resentful about going through the aforementioned list of preparations a second time, wondering the whole time if you were going to flake again (which has happened, which is why I don't give second chances)...at a certain point, my resentment will not allow me to be good company, so there really isn't any point of a "second chance".

Obviously this "no second chance" rule applies to rude people, people who don't call or text and wait til the last minute to let someone know they aren't coming. I've said it before and I'll say it til I'm blue in the face-if something prevented me from making a date, unless I'm dead or unconscious, the FIRST phone call I make is to my date...full of apology and begging for a rain check. When I say I'm going to do something, I do it.

Once I had a guy text me at 5:15 as I was on my way to meet him. He said he was unexpectedly at the hospital, doing an "intake", could we make it later? Rather than say yes, of course, because I really didn't feel like sitting around a bar by myself until god knows when, I said, "thought you were in advertising?" Never heard from him again...

Love is an emotion, commitment is a decision and monogamy had nothing to do with either. ~ME
