Nicknames
Nicknames Do you have any nicknames? Care to share them? I was just thinking of all the names I've been called or known by over the years. Deer. Wildcat. Claws (my brother is Jaws. He talks to much. I have sharp nails and can draw blood). Tips Also A'isha. Um... and another but typing it into a search engine would enable ppl to find me. Of course nobody would necessarily know it's me, but better safe than sorry I'm sure there are others I've forgotten. Just thought it'd be fun to hear what nicknames you've been given over the years |

Does dickweed or "hey you" count? If not, I'm sadly nicknameless. Poor, poor me.

yeah, nicknames make it around. Some I use as handles on some of my groups. Spaceshot (in the service -- some years back) -- not because I was interested in outer space either. Swamprat - because I was raised around the swamps in Louisiana. These stuck the longest....

ohhh... i totally forgot those childhood names i was called "typewriter" cuz when i got reading fast, i'd move my head. and "tower" cuz it was a bit like my last name and i was the 2nd tallest girl in school. and then all sorts of derogatory name-calling by my step mom and kids at school. But those don't count. they only count if you, yourself, accepted them and took them as yours. buddhamike: i like "professor" and "pathfinder" lookingforfun: yours are cool!! natoslug: maybe i'll have to think up a nickname for you. *hug*

TJ is the closest I've come to having a nickname, but it doesn't count because it is just my initials. I tried to give myself a nickname a few times when I was stuggling to be cool. (Now I just don't care.) As you might suspect, I had about the same luck that George had in the Seinfeld episode. TJ

Cool. Will there be a naming ceremony? What should I wear?- formal or informal? Oh, the pressure, and I haven't even considered the guest list! We may have to have a committee meeting for this, DSK/Claws/Towering Deer, just to work out the pre-naming details.

One of my favorites was bestowed upon me by a former boyfriend. My maiden name sounded something like "colita" as in the line from Hotel California "Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air". The boyfriend called me "warm smell".

my favorite nick-name in High School was "Muslim". My friends nick-named me that cuz I was so interested in the middle east. (omg... what if we're related?!? hahahahha) Natoslug: very informal. think birthday suit have to go back to the beginning before wrapping yourself into a new nick. haha. MzHuny: Lushie Lou is cute You'll always be MzHuny to us though!!

I prefered Tim or Tre none of these come even remotely close to my name but when I don't want people knowing my name these pop into my head. Its a real hassle remembering when people call you from across the street. "Why the hell are you calling m.... hi there " I'll let ya know the ohers if you ask nicely, Tips
