Is there a term for being sexually excited by musical instruments?

a few months ago i realized the feeling i got when talking about drumming was a bit similar to sexual attraction. And I'd much rather be drumming than filling out another online profile.

I've owned a guitar since high school (my uncle gave me his old one) but it was only ever played by guests. Now it no longer holds a tune and repairs aren't worth it. So Saturday my dad (musician and band manager) went with me to the pawn shops to check out guitars.

"Find one you think is pretty. Find one you like the feel of. Once you've got that down we'll narrow it from there"

Second pawn shop, maybe 10th we tried out. She's less dramatic looking than most, a little understated. But once I heard her tone - she was the most beautiful guitar or of all we looked at. Dad agreed. I just returned home from buying her... she still needs a name

 That really looks like a Martin Dreadnaught, although it doesn't have the logo on it. I'm not surprised you like the tone. 😍🎼

It's actually a Yamaha F325. But dad was playing another which cost $30 more a few moments before and this one stood out even from her sister.

I assign my cars genders and names. Apparently i do with musical instruments as well. Haven't named her yet but it's been a "she" in my mind since the day i met her.

 My roommate in college loved his Dreadnaught. Recently found out he passed away.
