Seven Deadly Sins

Seven Deadly Sins... as artistically shows by Erte

anger

avarice

envy

lust

pride

gluttony

sloth

All the "Sins" ... as requested (humorlife). If I went in and took a photo of my bed... yeah, sloth fits me. Tons of pillows... books... a cat... a cat toy or two... sometimes other hobby-ish things to do. But no paints... that would be too messy.

I think gluttony is a fun depiction too. The rest? Meh. Which is sad to say because I am mostly totally fascinated with Erte's works.

Hey, Kitten, thank you! This is wonderful stuff, and I think you've picked up a few more fans for Erte.

I'm going to check out other works... Tarot cards, maybe?

Stop in, read, and offer comments at my "swinging as seen in the media" blog, "Confessions of a Lifestyle Man" humorlife, which is also the home of the monthly virtual symposium. New post: The Virtual Symposium Returns Lets Pick A Topic

I believe I did see a couple tarot or playing deck card inspired pieces, though I don't believe he actually made cards or related series.

Glad you like

Why is it only 2 of them are depicted by men?
Are women really that much more sinful?

I think he just preferred women lol. I don't know... but he did much of his work for the covers of Harper Baazar magazine. Most are women, with only a few men or androgynous people. I doubt it was a statement to women and sin as it was putting his favorite subjects into whatever work he did.
