Happiness is....
Thinking up something wonderful to blog about.

But I keep missing that boat (I see the signs, I get all excited, but by the time I get to the dock... the boat is already pulling out of the harbor).

So... here are some OTHER bits of happiness


Kitties!! Ice Cream!! They look so happy lol

Sex? Love that but... cherries? I always give those away. Though I'm skilled at tying knots in the stems.

Flowerbeards. Apparently some men are bedecking their beards with flowers... a few, a ton... flowers. all over. And taking pics.

I'm not sure if that makes me happy or not. Smile a bit, sure

 Get a quantity of bubble wrap. Ask an acquaintance (such is not an office for a friend) to pop one bubble at a time, until you feel like yelling "Enough with the bubbles!"

Flower beards are not manly. They are delightfully androgynous.

I've actually never seen one. No pics?

Actually had a coworker hit me once because I popped his bubble wrap. Seriously.

Me: "Bubble Wrap!!"
Him: "Don't Touch it! It's mine"
Me: *POP!*
Him: *Smack!* "I said don't touch it!"

My friend was the HR director on a cruise ship and whenever she saw bubble wrap she'd snag it and store it in her office. So if anybody came in stressed out or upset: She'd hand them bubble wrap and tell them to start popping. I went on a cruise with her and got to see a bubble-wrap-popping-mob .... Somebody had bubble wrap and crew members below decks came from all over to huddle in the middle of the walkway to pop the wrap for a few minutes, then went back to work.

Amazing stuff.

I never actually *say* bubbles... but yeah

I do, however, get excited over bubble wrap and keep forgetting I decided NYE 2012 that I will carry my bubbles with me on first dates. See how a guy reacts when we're walking along and I pull them out and start blowing (worked great with my NYE date on 2012. He got all excited and telling stories about his kids and the great bubble making experiment).

 My goodness... did someone actually use this post as an excuse to quote Don Ho? Wow!

I can take or leave kittens (as Ogden Nash wrote, "The trouble with a kitten is that/Eventually it becomes a cat"), but I heartily approve of ice cream in all forms...

and I'm definitely more of a fan of stem-knot-tying than of the cherries themselves...

Stem tying with the tongue has a way of impressing dates hahahaha. OK: one date. I've only tried twice in my life, and I was successful both times. The first was with a bunch of girlfriends and I figured "eh... I'll try it. What's the big deal?" The 2nd... he was so impressed he kept it as a trophy to show off to his roommate.

Ice cream... I'm probably a bit of an ice cream snob too. Not as bad as I am with chocolate but I've had some nasty ice cream.
