Breakfast Foods

What is your favorite thing to have for breakfast?

Other than sex (oral or otherwise) lol...

I'm not much of a breakfast person. I know a person needs it for metabolism. And for SURE I need it to keep my brain powered through till lunch (or shift end... so often I work right through lunch, technically illegal though it is to not take a lunch break).

My favorite "breakfast"? It's called dinner. Left-overs, more specifically. Grab and go, no thinking involved. I also typically do NOT eat at 5 or 5:30am, but wait until 6:30 or 7 or whenever I get around to it and eat at my desk.

I once made roasted red pepper soup with eggs in it. LOVED that for breakfast. There's a similar tomato soup with egg recipe online though I can't find it now and never made it.

I also found yogurt with fruit, and a tiny bit of meat on the side carries me for many hours.

What are your favorite breakfast items? During the week? Weekend?

I HAVE to eat breakfast, even if I'm not hungry. Otherwise there will be serious pain. So it's cantaloup, or yoghurt, or Shredded Wheat. But I gotta get something in there. Pussy would be my personal favorite, but it just isn't filling enough- half hour later I just want more.

Isn't that just the way it is? The best tasting things are NEVER filling.

I sometimes eat cereal for dinner. Or ... it's a great "Saturday Morning Cartoon" breakfast lol.
Otherwise, cereal just irritates me. I've come to the conclusion if I want cereal: I will go bum a bowl off whichever friend has good cereal. Because really that's all I want: ONE bowl. After that having an open box of cereal taking up space just bothers me. Thankfully one of my friends always has plenty around for her grown kids and husband, and I'm welcome any time.

I eat pancakes for dinner haha. Of course it's bad to eat starchy carbs that late. Hmm... pumpkin pancakes... I think I know what I'm doing for dinner.

I almost always saute some veggies in olive oil and add scrambled eggs and spices. I'm a morning person and breakfast is by far the most important meal for my metabolism. And I love coffee, but mostly because of the taste and warmth. I don't need it for the caffeine until 2pm or later.

But I'm with juiceisloose4u2 re eggs benedict. That's my test at any breakfast restaurant. I'm feeling the inspiration to make my own hollandaise now.

In recent years I've developed an acid reflux condition that is exacerbated by any kind of pork. Bacon and sausage, my old favorites, are off the menu. I used to love McDonald's sausage and biscuit, great for grabbing breakfast on the go.

Nowadays it's usually oatmeal or waffles. I love French toast, but only occasionally feel like making it.

Are you able to eat chicken sausage, turkey bacon, etc?

I LOVE French Toast. Refuse to order it at restaurants though in case they make me not love my own anymore

I am an early morning person, the military experience made breakfast important for those first 6 -7 hours of the day. I usually eat breakfast at about 4:30am. My breakfast is something like the picture below, not always that large, but it is hearty

Hey... I think I just figured out how to add the "in-comment response", Yay!!
And for me... I've discovered waking up at 4am is good. 5am is not. And food eaten before 6am doesn't register as having been ingested.

Can't wait until Sunday when I can make my sausage, eggs, cheese wrap with a side of curried hash browns. You might remember that .... maybe not.

I've been doing that sometimes too... so easy to saute veggies and toss eggs on top.

It's not my favorite, but I drink these EAS Advant Edge Carb Control protein drinks - 100 calories, 17g protein. Usually Chocolate Fudge.

FAVORITE breakfast would include sunny-side up eggs, toast to smear around in the yolk, probably hash-browns with peppers, onions, etc. smothered in cheese.
