Not a fun one...
Not a fun one... Had a terrible migraine last night.. Massive pain across the forehead.. pain at the back of my head, terrible sinus pain, teeth aching, ear ache, nausea, confusion, and wobbly ness... I haven't had a whopper like that in a long time.. Just wanted to end it all right then...I think I may have overdosed on the pain meds.. but was too confused to know for sure how many I had taken...by overdosed.. I just mean took a few too many... not trying to commit suicide.. although at around 2:30 last night, I was willing to try anything to get rid of the pain.. This morning, cup of coffee in hand, I tripped over the door ledge and spilled my cup of coffee all over the deck..Yup.. I had one massive headache...Still recovering.. If any of you have a cure for this, please let me know..lol Please tell the world... May you have a good day, free of pain, confusion, and problems.. Gentle hugs ( mostly for my benefit) Stars.. Looking forward to a good year ahead!! Stars_light4U |

My migraines usually start with sparkling lights that take away the vision in one eye or the other..Then nausea and panic sets in because I know the pain is coming next. Looking forward to a good year ahead!! Stars_light4U

Such a literally painful question! Years ago I had one like that and barely was able to drive home and get to bed. In agony, I called a friend/therapist and he asked me what was going on in my life at the time. I blurted out a bunch of stuff and he said, what else. More poured out. And what else? More pouring out. After a good hour or more, I was done and exhausted, feeling less pain and more wiped out. Thanked him and slept for hours and hours. That taught me a lot about myself and how my body works, handling things or not handling them at all. Years later I started a new job and there it was while I was filling out my employment papers: a migraine. Damn! Couldn't be a worse time, I thought. Then I took a few deep breaths and asked myself what was going on. New job, competitive situation/commission, all male setting. Hey, no wonder I'm stressed. It's ok. It's understandable. Who wouldn't be? End of the migraine........amazing. Best wishes.

Hot showerbefore you get too wobbly, cold room, dark bedroom. Try to sleep it off. No noise. No lights. Put a hot wet compress over your eyes. Try to enlarge your sinus passages with wet heat. If you can keep anything down, suck on a Nauzene chewable to calm the nausea. I also put cotton puffs in my ears. Never ignore those who care for you you will have lost diamonds while you were collecting stones

I like to take 2 advil cold and sinus at the very start of a migraine.. and hope and pray that it goes away...Sleep usually helps me avoid migraines.. Migraines in my case, usually mean I need more concentrated sleep... like a few hours...because I don't eat cheese, or drink red wine.. or eat food with MSG...I try to behave.. because these darn migraines are so painful!! wow.. a very thorough treatment of the subject... In my case.. I have Erlos Danlos Syndrome...I and my kids all get severe migraines because of the stretchiness of our vessels and organs.. ligaments, etc... We do what we can, but it's mostly the weather that gets us...air pressure going up and down...Arghhh.... Looking forward to a good year ahead!! Stars_light4U
